What we're doing

We have built a national website allowing those in need to find a registered local volunteer and for volunteers to provide meaningful help & support.

With so many volunteers offering help via various Facebook and community groups, we have built a website that can act as a hub to connect those in need with those willing to help. Whilst the current emergency is the Coronavirus pandemic in which vulnerable individuals are suffering most, the aim of this website is to allow for continuing to help local communities and those in need after the immediate situation has passed.

This website is free to use, for everyone, forever. Essentially you can do the following:

  • Volunteer to help in your local community. Volunteers are notified by email where there is a request for help.
  • Set up a local group, volunteer to be the administrator of the group and allocate requests for help to volunteers.
  • Request for help from a local volunteer in a private & confidential way. No personal details are passed to volunteers until they have committed to helping you.
Golden rules for staying safe & our commitment to security

Important info

The local volunteer website and all donations are being held in trust for the community and will be passed to an appropriate charity or a charity established when the immediate crisis is over. Every penny donated will be used to fund the build of this website. Any excess funds, should there ever be any, will be donated to the Trussell Trust (a foodbank charity in Taunton), or national and full accounts published on this site - Stephen & Claire Ward
